AI Training · For You and Your Team

Learn to use AI to get your time back — and stop losing customers.

The calls you miss, the leads that go cold, the admin that eats your week — AI can take a lot of that off your plate. This is training that makes your team genuinely capable with the right tools for your business, on your own work, so the skill stays with you.

For owners, managers and their teams. No technical background needed — these tools are built for normal people, and teaching non-technical teams to use them well is the job.

This is training, not done-for-you. Your team learns to use the tools and owns the result. I teach, review and coach; I don’t run it for you and I don’t leave you renting a black box. ServiceGecko does offer AI implementation as a separate commercial service, but it forms no part of a training engagement.

Training background

A decade in this — and hands-on with AI from the start.

I’ve spent over ten years in digital marketing and lead generation for New Zealand businesses — and a good part of that teaching it, rather than only doing it. Before ServiceGecko, I spent three years running structured eight-week courses through the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce — SEO, Google Ads, websites and email marketing — delivered to owners and their staff against a set curriculum, intake after intake.

I’ve been working hands-on with AI tools since the start of this era, not since it became a bandwagon. That combination is the point: someone who has spent a decade teaching non-technical business people, applying it to tools that are genuinely new. The goal is to make your business good at this — not dependent on me.

Why this exists

You didn’t start a business to spend your evenings on admin.

Calls come in while you’re busy, so they go to voicemail — and some of those people just ring the next business instead. Leads sit until they go cold. Quoting, scheduling, chasing invoices, answering the same questions over and over. It fills the hours you should be spending growing the business, or at home.

None of it feels urgent on any single day. That’s exactly why it quietly costs you, month after month.

The businesses pulling ahead aren’t working harder and haven’t hired an army. They’ve learned to use a handful of AI tools to take the repetitive work off their plate. And here’s the part most people miss — you don’t need to hand this to an agency and hope. These tools are made to be used by ordinary business owners and their teams. The only thing in the way is knowing which tools, for which jobs, and how to set them up so they actually work. That’s a learnable skill, and it’s the one this teaches.

What we cover

Practical, on your own work — not theory.

How it works

From “where do we even start” to working quietly in the background.

1

We find where AI will pay off

We sit down with you and your team and look at how the day actually runs. No jargon. We come out of it knowing exactly where AI can save time and win customers in your business — and which opportunities are worth doing first.

2

We train your team to use it

Your people get confident and capable with the right tools for your business — answering enquiries, following up, cutting the admin. Built around how you actually work, so it sticks. Your team does the work in the sessions; that’s how it becomes theirs.

3

Follow-up coaching as you go

AI moves fast. Review sessions keep the team sharp, work through what’s next, and make sure the tools keep earning their keep — so you’re not left to figure out the next thing alone.

You own the skill. This isn’t a black box you rent. Your business learns to use AI itself, so the advantage stays with you and compounds — and you keep every account, prompt and process built during the training.

What your team will be able to do

By the end, without needing me in the room.

Spotting the opportunity

  • Identify which tasks in your business are worth automating and which aren’t
  • Estimate what a saved hour or a recovered enquiry is actually worth to you
  • Prioritise the opportunities that pay off first

Using the tools

  • Choose the right AI tool for a given job instead of guessing
  • Brief and prompt AI so the output is usable, then edit it to a publishable standard
  • Set up AI to handle enquiries and follow-ups reliably

Judgement

  • Sense-check AI output and recognise where it’s confidently wrong
  • Decide what should never be handed to AI in your business

Making it last

  • Build AI into how the team works day to day, so it doesn’t lapse
  • Keep the skill in-house rather than depending on an outside supplier
FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

We’ve tried AI or automation before and it didn’t stick.
Usually that’s because someone set it up and walked away. Training your team to actually use it — and staying with you through the follow-up sessions — is what turns it into part of how you work, rather than a tool gathering dust.
My team isn’t technical.
They don’t need to be. These tools are built for ordinary people, and teaching non-technical teams to use them well is exactly what this is. Ten years of teaching business owners rather than developers is the relevant experience here.
Will you set it all up for us?
Not as part of the training. Your team does the work in the sessions, because that’s what makes the skill yours. ServiceGecko does offer AI implementation as a separate commercial service, but it’s not part of a training engagement and the two aren’t combined.
Who should attend?
Whoever will actually be using it day to day — owners, managers, or the admin, sales and customer-facing staff doing the repetitive work. It’s built around your business, so the right people in the room matters more than the number of them.
Which tools will we learn?
The ones suited to your work — typically tools like ChatGPT and Manus. We’re deliberately not tied to one vendor; part of the training is learning to judge which tool fits a job, so you can keep making that call as the landscape shifts.
Do we keep what we build?
Yes — every account, prompt and process created during the training is yours. Nothing sits in my name and nothing is locked to me.

Want your team capable with this?

Tell me about your business — how the day runs, where the time goes, and who’d be doing the learning. I’ll come back and tell you honestly whether the training is the right fit and what it would cover for you.

If you leave it

the admin keeps eating the week, the missed calls keep going to whoever answers first, and the businesses that did learn this keep pulling further ahead. The conversation costs you nothing either way.
